Breaking all the rules? nah - just great fun playing in the shore dump
picture
As a Canoe Club in the 21st Century we obviously can't condone such risk-taking as playing in the "shore dump" ... and we certainly can't include this as a part of our club activity as if we were to apply a risk assessment for the day and take account of the 36mph WSW winds that create an intense cross shore drift that can force kayakers into the beach groins (which did happen on the night) ... AND specifically as playing in the "shore dump" significantly increases the risk of spinal damage and broken limbs ... We as a club DON’T condone such risky behaviour!

"Get it while you can lads as health 'n' safety's gonna get you!"
