We are again able to make use of Tonbridge Canoe Clubs excellent facilities and river. The river at Tonbridge is relatively small, and therefore the race will be run in two stages (as at Wey or Elmbridge). The lower divisions will race first and higher divisions later. Please park in the Lower Castle Fields car park adjacent to Tonbridge Swimming Pool. This is signposted from Tonbridge High Street VENUE: Tonbridge Canoe Club, New Wharf Road, Tonbridge, Kent. CLASSES: Divisions 1-9 for singles Divisions 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, and 9 doubles COURSES: Exact courses will be posted on the day. There will be portages for the 8 and 12 mile courses.
Check in from 09.30 onwards to half an hour before start of race Divisions 7, 8 & 9 K1, 7/8 and 9 K2
Refreshments for competitors, also available to purchase. RULES: All division 7, 8 and 9 paddlers must wear approved buoyancy aids, and their use is recommended for all under 16s. Upright number plates will be required for all classes. PRIZES: Will be presented to 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each class subject to entries. Trophies will be presented to Top Club,Junior.Male and Junior Lady. ENTRIES: All entries must include the paddlers BCU number and ranking.
